Für „Serato Scratch Live“ bringt der amerikanische DJ-Spezialist Rane nun das neue Advanced 24-Bit USB Interface „Rane SL 3“ auf den Markt. Zwar verrichtete das mittlerweile in die Jahre gekomme Interface „Rane SL 1“ seinen Dienst immer noch Perfekt und vorbildlich doch wurde es wohl langsam Zeit für ein richtiges Hardware Update.
Interessanterweise reichte für das SL 1 bereits USB 1.1, beim SL 3 wird nun endlich USB 2.0 voll unterstützt. Durch den höheren Datendurchstz kommt auch ein deutlich besserer Sound zum Vorschein und das in 24 Bit-Auflösung. Außerdem wurde der Ausgangspegel von 94 dB auf 104 dB erhöht. Auch ganz neu ist die „Direct Thru“ Funktion, welche einfach Audiosignale durchschleift. Der Strassenpreis für Rane SL 3 liegt bei ca. 750.- € – 800 € und ist voll und ganz sein Geld wert.
