Bereits im Oktober 2008 verkündeten Ableton und Serato sie werden eine Partnerschaft eingehen. Nun ist die Katze aus dem Sack und die beiden Firmen haben zusammen “The Bridge” vorgestellt, hierbei handelt es sich um eine Schnittstelle zwischen ‘Ableton live’ und ‘Serato Scratch Live’ oder ‘Serato ITCH’. So lassen sich über The Bridge Serato-Mixe in Ableton bearbeiten und Ableton-Sets in Serato dann weitermixen. Ein genauer Release-Termin steht leider noch nicht fest, doch sicher scheint schon das The Bridge kostenlos sein wird. Benötigt wird nur Serato Scratch Live oder Serato ITCH (mit passender Hardware wie z.B. Vestax VCI-300 oder Allen & Heath Xone DX) und freilich Ableton Live 8 oder Ableton Suite 8.

The Bridge provides Ableton Transport Control (ATC), giving you control of your own multitrack productions with a turntable, CDJ or ITCH controller. Drag an Ableton Live set onto one of the decks in Scratch Live or ITCH. Scratch Live or ITCH provides deck control, mixing, nudging and DJ style looping; Ableton Live lets you remix multitrack files, mute/solo tracks, use virtual instruments, change drum patterns, manipulate audio, tweak effects and launch loops in real time.
Serato >> Ableton
The Bridge gives you the ultimate mixtape creation tool. Perform your mix in Scratch Live or ITCH and save it as an automated Ableton Live Set. Play your mix rather than cut and paste in a DAW. Forget about having to start a mixtape from scratch because of a mistake at minute fifty-nine. Each song is recorded and laid out on a track in Live separately, and any moves you’ve made with your hardware are recorded along with the track. Edit, add beat synced loops and virtual instruments, stretch, chop and manipulate your mix as required – with Ableton Live’s production tools at your fingertips.
danke für die wertvolle info, da ich itch und xone dx benutze , interessiert es mich natülich wann das ganze dann soweit ist. nur weiss ich nicht wo ich mich da am besten auf dem laufenden halten kann. bei serrato gibt`s ja bereits the bridge aber zur zeit nicht für itch, wenn ich mich nicht täusche.

Aber The Bridge soll definitiv kommen, war ja schon von Ende 2011 die Rede – aber ist wohl für Video zurück gestellt worden.
